HF 3577 — Packaging Waste and Cost Reduction Act (2024)
Minnesota's Packaging Waste and Cost Reduction Act (HF 3577, signed May 2024) requires producers of covered packaging to participate in a state-approved Producer Responsibility Organization. Producers fund collection, processing, and recycling of packaging materials. Producer reporting begins July 2025; fees begin January 2029.
